一次偶然的機會,在香港明珠臺看到了電影的后半段。回到英國后便立刻尋找DVD，終于可以一窺全幕。老伴的過世，死黨的被殺，對手的步步緊逼，兒子的新式菜和逼宮，愛徒的嗜賭，林林種種，老板已是心力交瘁，早已想引退江湖。為了最后的心愿，為死黨而復仇，將所有的瑣事都在一夜里給解決。
在狹小的空間里，導演的功力可見一斑：情節(jié)鋪排、剪接、配樂、小餐廳里錯綜復雜的人物關(guān)系，均將一部充滿仇恨的電影，以最安靜的形態(tài)，說了一個最緊張的故事。
