Jared T. Raynor Gilman(born 28 December 1998) is an American actor who co-stars with Kara Hayward in Moonrise Kingdom,[3] a 2012 film directed by Wes Anderson. Personal life Gilman was born and raised in New Jersey. He is on his school’s cross country running and fencing teams and he enjoys golf.[4] Gilman had his Bar Mitzvah in 2012. Career Gilman won his first professional acting role as Sam Shakusky in Moonrise Kingdom at age 12.In preparation for the film, Gilman studied canoeing, cooking over an open fire, and Clint Eastwood's character in Escape from Alcatraz. Gilman has scripted, acted in, and edited his own short action videos
